Why are we moving from lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning?
lynda.com was acquired by LinkedIn and is now transitioning its partners to their LinkedIn Learning (LiL) platform. Users will continue to have access to a vast library of digital courses covering a range of topics and now also have options to integrate their access through Mason with their LinkedIn profile.

What can I expect during and after the upgrade?
During: Access to lynda.com will be unavailable on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. No users will have access to their lynda.com account or its content during this time. The upgrade can take as many as 18 hours to complete.
After: When the upgrade is complete, a message will be posted at lynda.gmu.edu. Users will also receive a personalized email from LinkedIn Learning instructing you to activate your account. Follow the instructions provided to activate your account.
- Once you account is activated, you can return to lynda.gmu.edu to log in with your Patriot Pass credentials.
- Your lynda.com activity will be transitioned to LinkedIn Learning during the upgrade.

One of the new opportunities with LinkedIn Learning is the ability to connect your Mason LiL account with your LinkedIn profile. It is not required but will be offered as an option during the activation process. This convenient guide provides information about this option.
